Caolan Keaveney

Fundraising and Project Management Assistant

Caolan read music at the University of York under the supervision of Peter Seymour and Robert Hollingworth. While studying voice with Josh Ellicott, Caolan discovered a love of choral music, early music, contemporary music, and opera.


Caolan has enjoyed a diverse range of theatre, opera, and musical theatre roles including Ferrando (Cosi fan tutte), Mr Gedge (Albert Herring), Tony (West Side Story), Tom Collins (RENT), Max (BENT). At home in NI, Caolan sings with Sestina under the direction of Mark Chambers with whom past and upcoming engagements include Messiah, Dixit Dominus, Theodora (Handel), and The Little Match Girl Passion (Lang).


Caolan’s stage directing credits include Albert Herring, The Rape of Lucretia (Aspect Opera), Dead Equal (Helios Collective), The Witches of Eastwick (University of York) and The Threepenny Opera (University of York). Upcoming engagements include La Voix Humaine (Poulenc) and Lucrezia (Handel). Caolan is founder and artistic director of York-based opera company Aspect Opera.
